Special Session on Evolutionary Computation for Antennas and Propagation

Aim and Scope

Evolutionary computation has been applied to a variety of microwave component, antenna design, radar design, and wireless communications problems. These techniques, among others, include Genetic Algorithms (GAs), Evolution Strategies (ES), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Differential evolution (DE), and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). In addition, new innovative algorithms that are not only biology-based but also physics-based or chemistry-based have emerged. The use of the above algorithms has an increasing impact on antenna design and propagation problems. EAs combined in several occasions with numerical methods in electromagnetics have obtained significant and successful results. Additionally, hybrid combinations of EAs are also emerging.
The topic of this special session is the use of evolutionary computation for application to antennas and propagation (AP) problems covering all aspects of different evolutionary computation paradigms. We invite researchers to contribute original papers to this special session describing the applications and the emerging trends of evolutionary computation to antenna and propagation problems.

Important Dates

Deadline for submission of full papers: 30 January 2020
Notification of acceptance: 15 March 2020
Deadline for camera-ready submission: 15 April 2020
Conference dates: 19-24 July 2020

Paper Submission

Please follow the IEEE CEC2020 Submission Web Site. Special session papers are treated the same as regular conference papers. Please specify that your paper is submitted to Special Session on Evolutionary Computation for Antennas and Propagation. All papers accepted and presented at IEEE CEC2020 will be included in the conference proceedings published by IEEE Explore, which are typically indexed by EI.
